Spring 2015 Adventures

On December 21, my sweet new niece Oaklee was born.  She's a sweet little girl and I'm so happy she is a part of our family.  Tyson and Sady are awesome new parents!

This is Oaklee and I on her blessing day February 28, 2016.

I can't believe it'a already almost April.  Crazy that time flies by so fast!  We haven't been up to too much over the past few months.
In February we went to a Jazz game with my family.  For Christmas, we bought my parents tickets to a Jazz game.  Then instead of buying each other gifts, we also bought ourselves tickets to the same game.  Tyson and Sady didn't come since Oaklee wasn't very old at the time.  It was a fun time!!

At the end of February we put a new deck on our house!  This was a project that has needed to be done for a long time.  When we bought our house, we sanded the deck and refinished the wood.  That only lasted for so long with it being in the weather all of the time.  So this year we finally decided to get rid of the wood, and do a stamped concrete deck instead.  We love it and can't wait to use it this summer!

In March, Josh went on a four day golfing trip to St. George with a few of his golfing friends.  I never thought I'd hear him say that he was golfed out.  He came back with a lovely sinus infection.  I guess 99 holes of golf didn't agree with his body.

Even though my doctor recommended that I find a new hobby that didn't include running, I can't give it up completely.  I have scaled back significantly though, so for that, I am proud of myself.  I ran a 10K race for breast cancer, with a few people that I used to work with.  It was a lot of fun and was for a fantastic cause, and I even placed 2nd in my age group!
Even though it was freezing cold, the mountains were beautiful in Alpine, Utah!
I love that I have the most amazingly supportive husband when it comes to my running hobby!  Not too many people would be woken up at 6:30am on a Saturday, to go stand out in the cold and watch their wife run.  I love him!
We are looking forward to more fun in the sun as it keeps getting warmer and warmer!  Although there is snow in the forecast again tomorrow.
